Maritime Infrastructure:
Oman is home to seven highly efficient ports, as confirmed by the Global Competitiveness Report. This report highlights the rapid progress in cargo clearance processes, with an average clearance time of no more than six hours. A significant portion of imports is cleared before the vessel arrives, thanks to a single inspection station and the implementation of risk management systems. These measures have reduced inspection rates from 100% to 12%, aligning with global standards.Surveys and benchmark studies further confirm that the costs of integrated logistics services at Omani ports—covering handling, shipping, unloading, transportation, storage, and more—are highly competitive compared to neighboring ports.
