• Provide training programmes to some citizens in the area of information technology to qualify them and enhance their IT skills with a view to enabling them to actively participate in a knowledge-based digital society. 
• Contribute to minimizing digital illiteracy and raising IT awareness through activating the process of ongoing learning offered to different segments of society.
• Contribute to creating job opportunities for Omani youth.

What is the training programme?
As part of the curriculum of the skills needed to use the computer and internet includes an introduction to the eGovernment services, which includes the following:

• Computer basics
• The internet
• Document production program
• Computer security and privacy
• Digital lifestyles
• Introduction to eGovernment services and method of benefiting from them

What are the benefits of obtaining this certificate?

• Increase citizens’ knowledge of the basics of the computer
• Able to finalize eTransactions rapidly and with accuracy
• Enhance job efficiency

What is the course schedule of the centers?

• Two hours per day for 15 days, to equal a total 30 hours in three weeks
• Saturday to Wednesday
• Thursday’s are dedicated for internet use from 08:00 am to 01:00 pm

Is the certificate certified at the Ministry of Manpower?
Yes. The trainee will receive a certified certificate from the Ministry of Manpower and will be added to his or her job qualifications.

What is the official language of the training course?
Arabic

Who will be in charge of training at the CKCs?
At least four Omani trainers will be appointed at each center.

What are the benefits of holding a CKC course certificate?
