Telecommunications Partner
This pioneering initiative to take Oman into a new digital era was jointly announced by ITA’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Salim Al Ruzaiqi and Omantel’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Amer Al Rawas at a press conference.
Considering this partnering, Omantel is providing a free internet access to the beneficiary families of the social insurance and to the student in these families who are presently enrolled in higher education studies for a one year period. The second internet package includes an offer for the segments of teachers and higher education students who benefited from PC initiative with effect from 1 October 2011.

3.5 G Offer - (Mobile Broadband Offer)
a - 3.5 G Offer for Social Insurance Beneficiaries segment:
· Free Mobile SIM card and free Activation.
· Free Mobile Modem.
· The monthly rental of RO 12 will be waived for the first 12 months of subscription with free 1 GB of MBB usage (subscriber billed at Zero tariff for the bundle).
· Voice calls will be billed at prevailing tariffs.
· Extra MBB usage will be charged at 5 Bz/MB.
· The offer is provided with an choice of Post-paid or Pre-paid basis.
