Survey Definition:

The survey is a statistical study aimed at measuring the activities of economic establishments that rely on or significantly enhance their operations using digital inputs, such as digital technologies, digital infrastructure, and digital services and data. This survey focuses on collecting data for 2023 and involves a sample size of 1,300 establishments operating in telecommunications, information technology, and digitally provided financial and insurance services across various governorates of the Sultanate.

  • Provide data for decision-makers and policymakers on the digital economy.
  • Conduct local, regional, and international comparisons of the digital economy’s contribution to the national economy.
  • Establish a reliable database as a scientific basis for economic studies and research.
  • Supply researchers with statistics on the digital economy to support scientific research and studies that contribute to achieving digital economy targets.
