Permits Service
INTRODUCTION
Provided in implementation of the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law issued by Royal Decree No. (6/2022) and its executive regulations issued by Ministerial Resolution No. (34/2024); this service enables controllers and processors to obtain a permit to process personal data mentioned in Article (5) of the Personal Data Protection Law.
Applicant
Anyone who processes the personal data stipulated in Article (5) of the Personal Data Protection Law.
Required documents and papers
The controller shall apply for a permit in accordance with Article (6) of the Executive Regulations of the Personal Data Protection Law by:
* Filling out the Personal Data Processing Permit Application Form stipulated in Article (5) of the Personal Data Protection Law. The form can be viewed through (link to the forms, guiding models).
* Attaching the controller's personal data protection policy.
* Attaching the precautionary measures adopted by the controller in the event of a breach of personal data.
Average time to complete the service
The Ministry studies the permit application and decides on it within a period not exceeding 45 days from the date of completion of the required data and documents.
➢ In the event of acceptance of the application: The permit is issued for a period not exceeding (5) years.
➢ In the event of rejection of the application: The decision must be reasoned, and the controller has the right to appeal within (60) days from the date of notification of the decision or knowledge of it with certainty. Failure to respond to the appeal by the Ministry within a period of (30) days from the date of submission is considered a rejection of it.
