Objectives

The Integration platform is a data hub or a medium of data exchange in real time between government entities. In the process of a request, the relevant data is pulled directly from its source rather than burdening the requestor. This increases the reliability of the service while at the same time improves service quality and processing time.

The main objectives of the Integration Platform are:

• Provides a unified mechanism by which government entities expose their services to other entities.
• Provides a centralized exchange hub that reduces the number point-to-point connections between communicating entities.
• Enhances the security of citizen and resident data by establishing control layer 3 communications policy with source and destination, secured with Oman National PKI certificates.
• Simplifies the impact analysis of major software changes and system upgrades.
• Enables better monitoring and logging of traffic and provides orchestration of requests where needed.
