In a continuous effort to realize the vision of the national space programme, the National Space Programme has welcomed a delegation from the United States to explore potential collaboration and partnership opportunities in the space sector during 21-22 October. This event signifies the Sultanate’s growing interest in advancing its space initiatives and tapping into new technological and scientific opportunities, to enable the space sector to contribute to the digital economy.

Oman aims to position itself as a key player in the space sector, in line with its strategic objective for economic diversification and scientific advancement. These discussions are also seen as part of a wider effort to forge strategic partnerships with international entities, particularly the U.S., which is a leader in space exploration and technology.
Over the two days, the participants from the two sides engaged in discussions on various aspects of space enabled services and applications, satellite technologies, and capacity-building efforts, knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and the potential development of joint space projects.
This initiative reflects Oman’s commitment to enhancing its presence in the global space industry, contributing to research and innovation, and benefiting from the expertise of established space-faring nations like the United States.
